Comment: This is the real thing, not much to it and it works perfectly. Plastic carrier, paper wadding, electronic bit so the printer knows how much it has dumped into it. Trivial to insert in a 7800. Can't get easier or simpler than this!

Comment: there is nothing wrong with this epson part. It is a replacement tank from a commercial grade wide format printer that soaks up discarded ink and needs to be replaced once full. Epson make the finest inkjet printers and are an industry standard in the world of print, prepress and design.

I think I am being asked to review the product as I purchased it needing it overnight and paid about $18 to ship the $30 item and was not happy when it never arrived. Amazon did credit me for the shipping charges and agreed to resend the product for no additional charge since they were not able to provide any more tracking information than what I already knew. The original shipment arrived the following day and the resent item was never shipped/received which irritates when the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. Next time, I will may think of other solutions for time sensitive stuff.

Summary: Great ink, poor printer
Comment: I had no problem with the quality of the ink, but with my Epson CX 4800 it only seem to print 7 items, cards, papers, photos or a mixture of any of the 3 and then the ink ran out.

Summary: Does what is says, but too expensive.
Comment: There is not much to this in tank, but you since Epson is the only one who makes it, they can charge a massive profit for it. Amazon is probably the cheapest place to get it though. You can take out the filled absorbent fibers and use lots of tissue or paper towels until you get a new one. But you can't reset the maintenance tank on the printer from what I know.
