Summary: Piece of Junk
Comment: My son used this printer for three months while at college. The black stopped working. We changed the ink even though it wasn't empty and it still didn't work. Nobody will fix this printer. HP considers it a disposable. The chat line is a front for a service that tries to sell you another printer with a discount if you trade your broken one in. The only problem is that I can buy a new one on Amazon for less then what HP offers with their discount so in essence, it's a disposable printer. Save your money and buy a cheap refurbished or better yet, buy several so you have spares when they die.

Summary: Junk. Buy something else
Comment: After two years, it has died but not before giving me all sorts of headaches sorting out its error reports to keep it limping along. Go date someone you don't like, it'll be easier on you than trying keep this thing happy.

Summary: 3310 Printer fax
Comment: We have been using this for a year now and it is great! it does not use to much ink and the separate color cartridges save on money.

Comment: great printer. Broke once when I opened too hard. But ink is outrageously expensive! My suggestion is not to buy HP.

Summary: Nothing works
Comment: Problems right from the get go, and nothing got better. The software won't install correctly on any of my computers, tried on 5 different machines. It just hangs. I have to randomly kill background tasks until it continues, and finally it finishes, but I assume it is not correctly installed on any of my machines.
Scanning is a painful experience. Took me 3 hours (!) to scan 16 pages (!!)... I had to figure out why it kept munging my documents. It insists of autocropping all my images even though autocropping is disabled. Unintuitive GUI, multiple menu options bring up the exact same options window. It can save to JPG file format... but only if you save to a memory card, not to anywhere else like your computer. Software is slow and brings my quad-core Xeon super computer to its knees, the software hangs the entire system when performing certain functions. (AAHHHH!!!!) Even in the background when not doing anything, software consumes 60 mb of system memory in six (?!?!) background processes... (hpqdirec.exe, hpqimzone.exe, hpqste08.exe, hpqtra08.exe, hpwuSchd2.exe.. !!!!). Why the heck would you need six different background processes and 60MB for one printer? Are HP programmers all retards?
Don't buy it. What printer where the reviewers using who rated this piece of hardware refuse 5 stars? My guess is they are all newb users with a few hours on the machine. This is the worst printer I have ever used.
