Summary: Do Not waste your money!
Comment: I bought this product less than 30 days ago. I run an Ebay Business and print labels and such. Also My children who are in high school use the printer to do there projects. This Printer looked Great. Even the guy at the store went on and on about the features and card reader. I was sold bought it and went home and used it. Everything was fine the first few weeks. Pictures loaded through card reader like a breeze. But the 3rd week, the card reader would not read pictures. I would have to turn printer off and and on or keep re inserting the memory stick for the printer to read the memory stick.Then a couple days later, I was printing like I always do and had printed about 6 pages and the printer had a paper jam. I proceeded to undo paper jam and continue to reprint the last page. Again the printer paper jammed. This continued all day. Paper would go in and literally tear in pieces. Also their was a loud clicking sound when carriage would return to its place. For two days I have done Everything I know and have read help Hp .com to fix the problem, Short of throwing it in the driveway and running over it with my SUV. Now I am going to find the receipt and drag it back to the store. Thank god I bought a service plan. Very Disappointing! I would not recommend.

Summary: Very nice printer
Comment: I read the reviews on different printers for quite a few months now and decided to break down and buy the HP Photosmart 4480. I was worried that the photo prints would not be good but I was wrong. The first picture I printed was like getting a professional print. I then found I could not get the same quality of prints there after. The pictures were "pixelly" and not good quality. I messed with the settings and came up with the perfect combination that I was getting professional quality prints again. I must have printed more than 20 photos and have not even used half the color ink and hardly any black ink. I bought extra ink in case the printer used a lot of ink during photo printing and it's still in the box and I am still a printing fool. I am totally happy with this printer and would say to anyone looking for a decent printer at a reasonable price, consider this one.

Summary: bad support for vista, printing problems
Comment: I bought this printer two months ago.
first, if the system is Windows Vista, the scanner function of the printer could not work properly. I have checked many forums for the solutions and tried some of them, but none works.
second, after i have switched to Windows XP, other problems appear. The most often is that printing will stopped at half page. It would then take a few minutes for the printer to send out the page unfinished, and start printing the same page again and fails again. the whole thing will repeat unless you manually cancel the job.
I am not happy with this printer and going to return it to my retailer for an replacement.
