Comment: These are expensive cartridges, but Amazon has the best price for them. I have not had luck with generic cartridges, so I stick to Brother.

Comment: Quality and price - good deal. These are genuine Brother ink carts in original vacuum packaging, not remanufactured. Many ink carts on the web are remanufactured, but the listing does not make it obvious. This price is almost the lowest for new brand-name black, cyan, and yellow (why is magenta price much higher ??). When I tried the least expensive source, they were genuine but outdated or nearly so - probably surplus. These were very fresh, carts dated 2009.05 expiration (purchased 2007.09)

Summary: Good color...tank doesn't last long
Comment: I thought switching from HP to another manufacturer was going to help out in cutting down on ink costs, but in the end they are all the same. This tank has average life, but not nearly as expensive as HP.

Comment: I had an Epson color inkjet printer two years ago. I exclusively used Epson ink cartridges until a reseller told me that I could save money by using his refilled cartridges. I bought the refilled cartridges and the resulting printer output was horrible. What was worse was that when I switched back to Epson ink cartridges, the print output never equaled its previous state.

What does the above have to do with my review of the Brother LC41C? Simple, that I refuse to use refilled cartridges, thus I am limited to the OEM cartridges. That being said, I have been very pleased with the LC41C. The ink lasts a fairly long time for me and the print output has not decreased from when I purchased the printer. I feel that the cost is reasonable, given that most printer manufacturer strive to make their profit by selling the ink cartridges.

In summary, I am very pleased with the cartridge' performance and price.
