Summary: Pretty Good
Comment: I had to buy this because sometimes I work from home and the files we use at work are all in WP format. I normally use MS Word but WP is not as bad as I thought it would be.

Summary: Just ordered it ... can't WAIT to have it!
Comment: The MS Word v. WordPerfect discussion is pointless. Either you "get" WordPerfect, in which case it's single-handedly one of the finest software applications ever written, or you don't. I am definitely the former.

I've worked in law offices for over 20 years, and have used WordPerfect since it's big splash in the early 90s with WP 5.1 for DOS. It revolutionized the entire workings of the legal office, and continues to do so today. I have worked on literally thousands of pages of documents, and only recall perhaps two or three over the years that ever "froze up" or became "corrupted." I was in someone's office last week using MS Office Word and the software couldn't functionally handle a three-page document. I am absolutely disgusted with Microsoft products and avoid them whenever possible.

If you're willing to take the time to learn WordPerfect codes in the Reveal Codes window, you'll only have to learn them once. They've basically been the same for the past 15 years. How's that for compatibility.

WordPefect saved my arse on so many occaisions ... I owe a huge debt of gratitude to its developers and the end-users who still know a gem when they see one.

Now turn on those Reveal Codes, dang-it!

Summary: 5 Stars with a Tojan Horse, a bummer
Comment: The program is great. But, I'm biased. I've used WP since it first came on the market and always liked it. It's intuitive, obvious, simple, and helpful. Besides, I know how to use it and don't have to learn a lot of new stuff that's no better.

Now the BAD news:
About 3 weeks after I loaded it my computer was infected with a virus, a trojan horse, in several main files. I called my favorite consultant who was able to fix it and was able to determine that the virus came via the new software that I had loaded on that date. His services cost as much as the software.
Now what? Will Amazon give me a refund? Replace the software? I wouldn't these discs again if I ever need to reload it.
Will Corel trace the origin of the counterfeit?
How can I be sure my next new software isn't a contaminated counterfeit?
Can I test it before I install it? I have never heard of this happening, although it doesn't surprise me, and wonder how I can protect myself from it in the future.
Comments welcomed.

Summary: Corel Wordperfect Office - Home Ed. 2007
Comment: I spend lots of time typing on the computer. I find Word Perfect a much easier and user friendly program than Microsoft products. There is not a lot of automatic format setting as there is with Microsoft Word. I highly recommend Word Perfect. I can do the same stuff with it and it is much more affordable than Microsoft Word.

Summary: Not worth it if you've already have Version 12
Comment: I purchased it thinking I would be upgrading the Word Perfect part. The other parts didn't interest me that much. It wasn't worth my money for that part. It added nothing to word processing that I already had with 12, so I don't use it at all.
