Summary: Great printer for the price
Comment: I purchased this printer to replace a laser printer I had for many years and this one is awesome for the price of under $100. Nice type and is pretty speedy for general home use purposes.

Summary: Love the printer
Comment: Bought it for $65 on sale. Already burned over 1000 pages. First cartrige is good for about 1000 pages. That's a total cost of about 6.5 cents per page. Compared to inkjets at about 15 cents to 20 cents per page, that's quite a savings. Replacement cartriges are good for 2000 copies and cost about $55, so the cost drops to less than 3 cents per page.
Quality is excellent for business typ work. Documents, charts, and other print jobs are much better and faster than ink jets. Quality isn't great for B&W photo's. Get a higher resolution printer for art work.
Only downside is the counter on the cartrige. It tells you when it's at 1000 or 2000 copies and I'm told slows the printer way down. I replaced the first cartrige at about 987 copies because of streaking on the prints.
Replacement cartrige comes with a UPS Mailing label so you can recycle the cartrige directly to Konica. Don't know what they actually do with the cartriges, but at least you don't have to worry about landfill space.
Excellent printer for the money! Would buy another in a heartbeat.

Summary: A Great little laser
Comment: I got this one on sale for only 59.00 I found toner for it on google for 39.00. It does a great job with print.("It's Fast!") Does a good job with shades of gray, but for photos it could be a little better, but then that all depends on how good your photos are, some print better than others. For the price it's worth it. I would use this over a ink jet printer any day !!!

Summary: Laser printing for the masses
Comment: After yet another frustrating episode with an older Epson inkjet printer, I picked this little fella up on sale.
If you just need clean, crisp, black and white printing, this is a good choice. I have had no operating concerns with it - it does what it claims to do. It isn't the fastest out there, it doesn't have the best resolution for graphics, but for my needs it is perfect.
Over the long haul, you're looking at a cost-per-page of between three and four cents, which I assume is about average.
It has separate drum and toner units (a good thing), it is relatively small and unobtrusive, simple enough to be attractive without being in any way stunning.
I give it five stars not because this is an outstanding product, but because it does its job competently without making any excessive claims about itself. Depending on your budget, you may well prefer another printer.
I use the printer mainly for professional productivity, and given my needs I expect to continue to use it for quite some time.

Summary: Good for text, bad for graphics
Comment: I bought this little laserjet to print transparencies but the output quality of the graphics is very poor even with the resolution set to 600x1200 dpi. For text it is very good, fast, easy to set up and reliable. No USB cable included which seems to be the standard now. Would I recommend it? well if you want a cheap laserjet just to print out text document then go for it but if you want decent graphics and halftones then you will have to flex the credit card a bit and spend quite a bit more. I've given my Minolta to the kids and bought a much better laserjet.
