Summary: stylish, stunning, very reliable
Comment: I had a canon s520 but i sold it because it went bad and I needed to replace the head which costed more than the printer. I'm glad i got the photosmart 7150. its so much better. the prints come out soo good on 4x6 using the photo tank. also i found out hp ink tanks come with heads on them so you'll get a good printing everytime. the ink tanks might cost a bit more but if you put your quality in the settings to like "draft" or "everyday" printing then you'll save a lot of money. go buy this!! its very affordable too.

Summary: good, but not exellent
Comment: I bought HP 7150 a week ago, and so far it's been running well. I saw severl reviews on the paper feeding problem of this printer, but so far it's not with me. As to the photo quality, I should say, it performs very good in colors and resolutions, but not in color shades. So if you want sth not that expansive for your ordinary photo printing, you can check this model out. One big thing I don't like about it (although I have prepared well for this problem) is that it's extremely ink consuming! Everybody has told me about it, but I was still surprised at the quick decreasing ink level (shown in the software) when printing photos!

Summary: Won't print Landscape
Comment: I also will be returning this printer. My frustration was trying to print a document in landscape mode. Whether I chose Landscape or Portrait, it printed the same way. Very frustrating.

Summary: Good Quality Prints
Comment: I bought this printer a little over a month ago and so far it has not given me any problems. I was surprised at the quality of prints that the HP 7150 can produce. I'm happy to say the prints came out to be the same or even better than lab produced prints (to my experience with lab produced prints).

However, the HP 7150 sometimes have problems with feeding paper, especially through the 4x6 tray and can ruin your photo paper. With certain types of papers, such as Avery's photo papers, the Hp 7150 can leave visible marks on the papers. These marks are from the HP printer taking the paper when printing. The best photo paper is probably the HP Premium Plus photo paper which can last up to 75 yrs and won't have marks as mentioned above. With some photo paper, the longevity is around 2 to 30 years on a rough estimate.

As the other reviewers have mentioned, the HP printer is a noisy one, but with the quality prints that the printer can produce, the noise is not a factor to me.

One significant let down on this printer is that it can not print borderless 4x6 pictures no matter how you set it up. The maximum print area for 4x6 prints is up to 5.5". I was able to print borderless 5x7 prints using a different software from the one that came with the printer.

I have not had experience with any other photo printers, I am happy this printer. This is a quality product despite some of its imperfections, but again, many products have their positive and negative sides.

Summary: Surprised
Comment: After purchasing a new 5MP digicam, I was in the market for a nice photo printer to complement it. I researched all different types of printers, including laser, dye-sub, and inkjet. You can pretty much pay whatever you like for a printer.

Leaning toward the dye-sub printers (and a good chunk of dough), decided in the end to just get a "cheapo" inkjet photo printer, and decided on the 7150 (it was the same price as the 5550).

Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. This thing outputs very nice photos! Much better than I was expecting.

I had no trouble at all hooking it to my XP systems, and printing on both 8x10 sheets, as well as 4x6 sheets.

I only use it to print photos with, so can't comment on the text output of this printer.

Great product!
