Comment: I wouldn't buy this printer again. I have had it about 2 years. I get paper jams but that's not the worse thing. The "OK" button stopped working. So when I get a paper jam, I have to shut the printer off and then back on. Also when I put new print cartridges in, I can't use the OK button so I have the message on the LCD to "Align the cartridge".
It does print nice pictures.
Anyway, I have had several HP printers, they are usually great products. This is the worse printer I have ever had.

Summary: What's going on with all the 1 Stars?
Comment: I've had this printer for almost 2 years and I have never had a problem with it. This printer went through a lot with all the papers and pictures I printed and it still gave me great performance. Never had a paper jam or any other problems. You just have to be patient with it and it will print things perfectly. I never got the recommended paper for it maybe thats why I never had a problem ;-). I've been through so many printers because all other brands were crap and broke down after a couple months. If your looking for a printer you don't necessarly have to buy this one because it is a little expensive, but I would recommend HP over anything else.

Summary: If you like paper Jams, then this is the printer for you!
Comment: Let me start out by saying, I am very tech-savvy. I'm not trying to be cocky, but I know what I'm talking about when it comes to computer stuff. This printer is horrible. I have had it for quite some time now. For the first few weeks it worked great and I thought I got myself a good printer. Well, after the first couple of weeks, I think the glue that they used at the HP factory came undone. The paper NEVER feeds on its own any more, and every time I try to print it jams. The bottom loading feeder takes 50 sheets at a time instead of the one sheet i'm trying to feed it, and then I'm screwed. The ink is Horribly expensive (like all HP printers) and I end up wasting most of it because I have to reprint everything. don't waste your time with this one. HP really messed up on this one. Another thing that made me mad was the normal printable margins. there is an inch along the bottom that it wont print on unless you click the borderless printing option, but then it prints slower. Its ridiculous. I can honestly say that I will do everything in my power to avoid using/buying another HP printer!

Summary: Ahh, I fixed it
Comment: I had the same problem everybody else had, the paper stopped feeding. I kind of wanted to bash this thing against the wall but it was SO simple to fix. Take that little back piece off and also take the spool thingy off or whatever that long thing with the wheels is -- Wash your hands or not and then bring a cup of water -- wet your finger and then put it into the back and clean the rubber wheel inside the printer/scanner, (on the floor of it where the paper feeds through) clean all the way around the rubber wheel ---- That's it!!! I didn't think it'd be that easy. Anyways, if you get the settings right and if you have a pretty nice color-accurate monitor, this thing prints some very nice pictures. I don't get very good results with generic paper so I'd go with anything HP and then make sure you have that paper selected in the printer properties. Otherwise the driver has to guess what kind of paper you have and it'll probably look either faded or over saturated. It took me a while to get the settings just right but it was worth it. Good Luck. I gave it 5 stars because it was so easy to clean and the pictures can look pretty amazing if you put enough time into each one. An hour ago I probably would have given it 1 star but it's a really good printer/scanner. It's not HP's fault we have dusty houses and end up putting dusty paper into their machine, right? ----- Also, there is an option in the printer menu that allows you to clean your ink cartridges -- you might consider doing that if you're seeing lines in your prints.

Comment: Worst. Piece. Of. Equipment. EVER. Oh, how I wish I were exaggerating. After reading many other reviews stating the same problem I've been having (paper jam, out of paper) I can now justify the purchase of a new printer but not before I take great pleasure in placing this one carefully under the front tire of my car, running over it again and again, then packing the thousands of pieces into a box and sending it to HP.
