Summary: A piece of junk
Comment: I've had this printer for several months now and I think I'm done with HPs. The printer constantly, and I do mean constantly, JAMs, even though I never put in more than 10 sheets at a time. Once it jams, I have to take apart the back, clear the queue on the computer and unplug the printer for a few moments, otherwise it will not continue printing. Then there are software glitches of some kind that often require me to reboot my entire computer before it will print.
Finally, there is this flimsy little pull-out shelf that is supposed to catch what prints out. It sticks WAY out. Our printer is on a typical computer desk with the printer on a shelf about where your knees are, so everyone keep wacking it or shoving it back in. Then, when someone prints something out, if it doesn't jam, it throws the pages all over the floor. I think I'm going to just throw the piece of junk away and invest in something that actually works.

Summary: Quick and Reliable for doc printing
Comment: If you need a quick smart little printer for your documents, this one will get the job done. I have had it for a while now and no problems. This is my 2nd HP printer (I used my old one for 5 years). Documents, labels, and envelopes all print quickly and clearly.

Summary: Not Completely Satisfaied
Comment: After reading reviews on this site, I purchased it. At very the first testing, the sheet got jammed up. After that every time at the start of printing job, it expels 2 Blank Sheets before finally printing.
Could'nt find solution to this in the owner's manual.
Speed is comparable to that of my previous printer: Epson Inkjet which ran flawlessly for over 3 years until its pad got worn out. Price of ink cartridge (both black & color) is about three times as high as that of Epson Inkjet. Good thing about it is that when paper jamms, the back door, which is strategically placed, really helps for user to pull it out without hastle.

Summary: HP DESKJET D4260
Comment: This printer was a pleasant surprise. I expected it to be satisfactory and found it to be exceptional. I have had 3 HP inkjet printers, a 920, a 940, and this one, over the course of 14 years and have been happy with each, but this is the best yet. The ink cartridges are cheaper but don't last as long. I am amazed at the color print quality.

Summary: Nice little printer
Comment: I bought this to use on my desk in the office to print out emails and attachments and miscellaneous documents. It does not take up a lot of space, prints fast with good quality, and is reasonably quiet. It is perfect for my purposes.
I changed the settings to print only in black and white since I don't need color. The menus are easy to use.
Like all printers, this does not come with a USB cable to connect with your computer, and the ink cartridges that come with it are the "economy size" that don't last very long. However once I replaced the black cartridge with a standard size, the ink supply seems to be holding up pretty well based on the amount of printing that I do.
