Comment: I do a lot of B&W printing and this cartridge is a real workhorse. I don't count the pages, but these things run a long time without replacement.
Good shelf life too. I found an old one that's been on the shelf for longer than I can remember. Put it in my printer, and it works like a champ.
I suspect that the earlier reviewer of this item might have bought an 'aftermarket' refilled cartridge. I've had trouble with those, too. Have learned to stick with genuine OEM cartridges.

Comment: I have never purchased a cartridge that gave such poor quality prints - and I was only printing text. I may have gotten a bad one, maybe others have had better results, but I would not recommend this product.
