Summary: Solid Printer
Comment: Used primarily for printing on CD's. Printer has performed well and is a good value. The software for printing CD's could be better, but perfoms the basics well. No complaints on color matching, although printed pictures are slightly washouted out compare to screen (you need to adjust).

Summary: Total waste of Ink
Comment: I've had this printer for about nine month, and have purchased ink three times. A few months ago I received a court letter regarding a class action lawsuit against epson. The plaitiffs alleged that inkjet printers and inkjet cartridges indicate that cartridges are "empty" and suspended printer function' eventhough substantial ink remains. This case has now been setteled. After spending alot of money on ink. I decided to purchase another printer istead(an 89.00$ canon)and, Im now printing my pictures at target. If you Buy this or any other epson be prepared to spend a few extra bucks on ink. Oh by the way, each color cartidge cost me 14 or 15 dollars, six colors in total.

Summary: Where did the COLOR ink go?? EPSON IS GARBAGE
Comment: I am not sure if this is the correct model, but I have an Epson and I am very frustrated with it. It would not print a text document because the color was gone. So I went and bought 3 new color cartridges. The I made my printer settings to print in black and white only. Three months later my color ink has magically disapeared. So instead f buying more useless color ink I never use, I will buy a new printer. I will definatley NEVER buy or recomend an Epson.

Summary: Uses too much ink
Comment: I have had this printer for a little less than a year and have been very disappointed in the performance. After printing a batch of 4x6 prints it quickly ran out of ink. Every time I go to print it feels like I have to replace a cartridge. I find it ends up being much cheaper to go to the local store and process my photos there. Unfortunately I did not use the printer for several months and when I did go to use it the ink jets were totally clogged, even after running the cleaning program several times. The manual did state to make certain to use the printer monthly to prevent such a problem. They should place a warning sticker on the printer itself. Now I am stuck with a non working printer. I am not sure why there have been so many favorable reviews for this printer. That is why I selected it in the first place. I have felt the few times I did use it the printer was slow, it used up quite a bit of ink and several times I had to reprint pictures as it ran out of ink during the printing process.

Summary: Excellent printing, poor mechanics
Comment: I have owned my Epson R800 for a year and two weeks. It died yesterday- it just wouldn't turn on. After about six months of use it started to have paper handling problems, and I'd have to keep rerunning them through. Many times the wheels would leave marks on my card stock. I used only Epson approved papers, too. I called Epson and even though I am beyond the warranty by a very short period, they are honoring it and will replace it at no charge. Because the print quality is excellent, I am hoping the replacement will perform better. I may have just received a fluke.
