Summary: Very good print quality - uses a lot of ink
Comment: This printer has very good print quality and is inexpensive. The major complaint I have with this printer is the use of ink. It seems to go through cartridges and I don't do that much printing. (I keep the printer on so it doesn't use more ink during "warm-up".)

Summary: No Technical Support!!!
Comment: I returned this product due to not being able to get any technical support from Epson!!! I never got this printer installed, so I do not know how it works. I tried for 2 weeks to get technical support, by phone and email. After 2 weeks I decided I better return item because I felt that I would have a product that the manufacturer did not care about helping customer who bought it. I will never purchase anything that comes from Epson. Absolutely, no customer service or support from this company.

Summary: Buyer Beware!
Comment: I have owned the C82 and the C86 and both models are useless because the print heads dry out and will not print. Epson told me the problem is that I don't use them enough. I have had a Cannon i960 for the past 3 years and the thing prints like a champ. It doesn't care if I leave it on off, or don't use it for months. I am so disapponted in Epson. The tech support rep recommends this model as a replacement. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me (the C86 was sent as a replacement for the C82) I think I need to move on to another brand.

Summary: EpsonC88+
Comment: This product came in a timely manner. It did not include a cable to connect to the port which should have been a requisite. Other than that the performance of this unit was excellant.

Summary: Very Good small network printer with the proper adapter
Comment: Years ago I bought the very popular Epson C80. To simplify printing from several computers in our house I bought an EpsonNet Parallel Print Server adapter (C823781) so that we could print from any PC without booting up a dedicated computer. When the C80 died about a year ago (internal ink hemorrhaging), I thought I'd have to find a new color network print solution ($$$). Then I discovered the C88 is supported by the same print server adapter! While these printers tend to waste ink, the print quality is very good and the printer has been otherwise very reliable. I have two students at home, so the C88 gets well exercised.
Also, it was easy to setup network printing for Ubuntu Linux boxes. Yesterday, during setup of an Ubuntu 7.04 box the C88 was discovered and correctly identified on my network!
