Summary: best pictures and super easy
Comment: This printer is easier and has better quality pictures then I could have imagined. I printed alot of pictures, all great colour. Absolutely no downside to this printer.

Summary: good printer
Comment: Fast and the quality is excellent. The ink cartridge is great. I'll never buy another inkjet. My only complaint is printing pictures with a white frame or border doesn't work very well.

Summary: dash is a smash
Comment: this little compact printer is the greatest. it give beautiful pictures no matter what megapixel camera you have. i have a kodak easy share and my daughter has a new canon 8 megapixel and i believe my little 5 megapixel had better quality pictures....the only thing was every once in a while it wouldn't load the 4x6 paper right and we would have to give it a couple of tries. but all in all it is great!

Summary: Crooked pictures and black blobs make for unacceptable printing
Comment: I was very enthusiastic about this printer based on the outstanding reviews it has received and my generally positive experience using Epson professional printers for scientific graphics. While this printer is indeed speedy and produces good quality photos, an apparent mechanical malfunction on roughly every third print causes it to skew the paper slightly sideways when a given print is ~75% done. This leaves a white triangle on one side of the print and leaves the remaining 25% of the print misaligned. This happens using the included Epson starter paper. Additionally, I find small black ink blobs on the trailing edge of about every third photo. I really wanted to like this printer, but I have to say that ruining more than 50% of the prints is completely unacceptable for any printer.

Summary: FANTASTIC!! I'm blown away by the results!
Comment: As a professional photographer, I was skeptical this little printer could live up to the reviews I read on it, but I took a chance...and I was NOT disappointed!!! I am so excited about the PictureMate! Although it will not completely replace traditional lab printing for me, to have a BEAUTIFUL, CRISP, CLEAR image in seconds at home is a real treat!
And another bonus? You can print MULTIPLE images on ONE sheet using wallet size settings. (i.e., 2"x3" oversize wallet setting will yield 2 images - either 2 identical images, or one copy of 2 different images on the same sheet of paper)
Ink consumption so far seems to be living up to what I have read. The initial cartridge has lasted 17 prints - and I just got the "low ink" warning. Ink dries fast, and you can handle photos almost immediately after printing.
My husband commented when I purchased this printer, "How can something so inexpensive be that good? There's gotta be a catch!" I guarantee you, there is not catch. If you want BEAUTIFUL images at home, buy this printer!!!
