Comment: It fits well, looks original and with the haze filter and snap-on cap protects the lens and gets rid of the lousy original lens cap for the s5 IS that kept falling off.

Comment: the product came in time, could firmly attach to my brand new s5 is, holds prefectly, the aluminium body feels sturdy, that's why i chose it, cuz the another one by canon itself was told to be made of plastic, which i wud consider as disadvantage, cuz what if u r gonna be screwing in heavy teleconverter lens? just a touch would break the adapter apart, i think...oh well, my personal view though

Comment: The color and the thread doesn't fully match up to my S3. I can imagine if I were to get heavier lenses it would make the adapter droop and might be off. Otherwise its nice to have 58mm thread so that I can throw on a polarizer or a UV lense to protect the stock lense on my s3.

Comment: I just received my Digital Concepts Lens Adapter, I have the Canon S5 IS. The lens cap that comes standard with this otherwise great camera was simply driving me crazy! Darn thing kept popping off constantly. This Lens Adapter, other than looking like an absolutely great part of the camera, also allows for a new/firmer Canon lens cap (with eyelet and string) to be put on the Apapter (58mm)... one that is totally secure ... and problem solved! I put a 58mm UV filter on the lens adapter, and we are in total business. FINALLY: That initial lens cap was designed to pop off if you powered up the lens to take pictures (so you wouldn't mess up the lens motor). Unfortunately, as you well know, it pops off if you breathe in its direction. The Lens Adapter extends just a bit past the extended lens, so there is no accidental "crash." If you are going wild over that initial Canon lens cap, BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Comment: I bought this recently for my Canon S3. It doesn't look anything like the online picture, and I don't think it's made of metal, but it does exactly what its suppose to do (and at a fraction of the cost of an official Canon adapter). It was easy to install, fits fairly snugly over the lens, and looks good on the camera. What more can you ask for from a product of this type?
