Comment: I have never written a review, but felt I had to write about this great printer. After reading all the rave reviews on this printer, I went to a local computer store to see the printer in person. I was thinking of the i960, but found the i860 was just as good and less expensive. I was looking to add a better photo printer than my current HP990CSE.
I got home, followed the simple instructions to get it installed, and within 10 minutes was printing. WOW, was it printing. The prints that came off this printer are the most beautiful prints I have ever seen, and for the money, well it is a steal even at the Amazon price. I printed four 4x6 prints using the sample Cannon Glossy Photo paper, and it gave unbelieveable results out of a Nikon 2500 2.1 megapixel camera. That's right, a inexpensive digital camera, with photo lab results out of this printer. I used the Canon software to print with no editing, just downloaded from the camera and print from the file.
If you are into digital photos then I would highly recommend. I am sure you could spend more and get more features, such as larger paper size, but for me, the normal paper size with 4x6 tray included is perfect. The paper tray is great and can remain on the printer all the time, just switch to print to the different size paper. The ink system is great also, and look forward to saving money in ink over the HP printers.
In summary, I would, without any doubt, highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a great, simple photo printer that produces superior results.

Summary: Quality printer, especially for the money
Comment: I wanted to buy the i960, but the store was out, so I went with the lesser model, knowing, through research, that this was also a good buy. I had a photo printer (HP 7350) for about two weeks before I moved my furniture and it fell and broke. In those two weeks, I kept wondering, 'Is this as good as it gets for digital printing'? Well, it took me a year, but I finally bought another printer. And the pictures are GORGEOUS. My camera is only 1.2 MP (was a lot when I bought it). But the pics I took turned out great. Other than the timestamp stretching out beyond the border, you would never know this was from a printer.
Granted, this review is from someone that has used it for one evening, but my standards are relatively high for a very amateur photographer. And so far, I'm thrilled. Hopefully if I keep it clean, it will keep giving me these great prints...

Comment: I purchased this printer based on Consumer Reports and on-line reviews. Am extremely pleased. Great text and photo printing, very easy to set up, and great price! Prints quietly and quickly. (I'm extra-sensitive to the noise issue b/c I have a baby sleeping in the next room!)

Comment: After getting getting rid of my piece of junk Lexmark printer, I picked up the i860 for $100 after rebate. Wow. What a printer. My digital photos look better than the ones I pay to get processed. It also prints them many times faster than my Lexmark did. Installation was a breeze, and the ink cartidges are still going strong after printing many photos.

Comment: Truly wonderful printer. The lines are crisp, and the colors clear (perhaps not quite as vibrant as photo quality, but hey, for the price...). I am very happy with this product.
