Summary: What a great printer!
Comment: This printer is a gem. I upgraded from a Lexmark Z12 (my first printer) and I could not be happier with the quality of prints and the operation. I use it for my online business and my other job. The four ink cartridge system lets me print for months before having to replace any of them. Call me 'Happy'.

Summary: The very best printer I've encountered
Comment: I am about to buy another of these models for office use. I already have one at home. I used to have an Epson but if I didn't use it every day to print ten or more pages, the ink would dry up, the printer would take an age to callibrate, and the page would be streaked. It didn't matter whether or not I cleaned it, I never got a clean page.
The i560 by Canon is different. I've had it sitting idle for two weeks, yet it fires up immediately and produces clean, crisp print jobs -- black/white and color. And I'm still using the original inks -- they seem to be lasting an inordinate length of time.
I recommend that anyone looking for an inexpensive printer that will produce clean pages, quickly, and with excellent software support, BUY THIS i560. You won't regret it.

Summary: Great all-around printer
Comment: I've had my i560 for about a week, and so far, it's the best printer I've ever had. Installation of the ink and printhead was a snap. It is extremely quiet and smooth, and had a much smaller footprint than my old Epson. It prints fairly quickly in color, extraordinarily quick in black & white. Color prints on the included Canon photo gloss paper look like they're straight from the photo lab. On plain paper, the prints are sharper than I expected, and the inks are sometimes shockingly bright, even without the image enhancement features of the Canon printing software turned on.
I replaced my old Epson 980 because it seemed destined to develop clogged jets every five minutes. Two weeks ago, I tried to print just a single page, but after ten cleanings, I still couldn't get a solid print, so I hunkered down and ordered this baby. I was tempted to just get a new Epson, but after reading some reviews of the current crop, it seemed the problem is an epidemic with all models, even the newest ones. Conversely, everybody I've ever known who's had a Canon printer loves it. I was also tempted to get one of the higher end, six-color Canon photo printers. But I opted to save a few bucks and go with the i560 instead. I honestly can't imagine that the more expensive Canons could do much better!

Summary: Great, economical, printer
Comment: I bought this on the strength of my i950 (which is just awesome btw, but costs a lot more), and the i560 looks to be on that level of quality, adjusted for price. The i560 probably, ultimately, provides better bang for the buck though imho - has both parallel & usb ports (seems to print ok via my router/parallel interface). Print quality looks nice - keep in mind it has 4 tanks instead of six. Much better construction than the lexmark it replaced in my computer room. I honestly didn't expect this level of quality for this price. I've never had any problems with the ink/heads on my i950 (despite occasional months of non-use), which is far far more than I can say of my old lexmark, and the i560 mostly uses the exact same color tanks.

Summary: Canon i560 Desktop Photo Printer
Comment: Great printer, relatively small in size and makes brilliant photos. All my friends have complimented me on them! I have always used Canon printers because I like the color balance and the fact that you can change only one ink color cartridge, which makes them relatively economical to run. My last one printed at 1440 x 720 dpi, which for a long time I thought was great. This one prints at 4800 x 1200 dpi, which makes an amazing difference. Pictures taken by my 1.3 megapixel Canon A10 make beautiful 4x6" borderless prints. Text and lower-resolution output is good, too. I highly recommend this printer.
