Summary: Canon has a winner with the i560!
Comment: We replaced a large beast of a laserjet printer with the i560 in our study. What a difference in space efficiency and in quality. This printer is perfect for printing out pictures taken with the Canon line of digital cameras. Just plug the camera into the printer and moments later you are printing. The assembly was very easy and the printer seems to be made to top notch standards. Thank you Canon for doing a good job on this printer. I look forward to years of enjoyment from printing pictures with it.

Comment: There is a newer i800 series printer being touted by Canon now, but if you look at the product features, the print quality is no better than this cheaper model. When I asked a guy in one of the big electronic stores what the difference was, the only thing he could come up with was that it had a special holder for the different sizes of paper, so I quickly picked this one up and have been more than happy with it.
Easy to set up, prints quickly and with great quality. I gave pictures to folks and they had no idea they had been printed out on a printer. They thought they had been developed. I don't understand why anyone would pay hundreds when you can get this kind of quality for under a hundred!! And since it uses Pictbridge technology, you can just plug your camera into it and print. I printed out at least 50 pictures, in both sizes 4x6 and 8x11 the first night I got it.
ALSO: When I print out bordered pix, they don't have any fine line at the bottom of them, so whoever posted that got a defective printer and should use the warranty.

Summary: You cant do better for your money
Comment: My last printer from a few years back was an Epson. At first the printer was good then there was the dreaded clogged print head which frequent Epson printers. After that I swore that my next printer would have the option of replacing the print head. Fast forward a few years forward and I purchased the i560 with complete budget on mind. I wasnt expecting anything other than an average printer, when I began using the unit I found that its more than an average printer.
Good:
Borderless printing on glossy paper is amazing with this unit even at 8x11.5 paper. The printer has a decent build and the seperate color tanks is a fantastic. Text printing has been the majority of the printing use for this unit but photos from my 2MP camera look amazing on the 4x5 photo plus paper.
Bad:
As with any product you can find flaws. Borderless prints will have a very thin line (as thin as a strand of fine hair) at the bottom of the print. This is mostly noticable if your looking for it and if its on black. From what I understand when printing photos it doesnt use the black ink but the combination of the 3 colors to produce black.
In either cases these are not major issues and shouldnt stop anyone from purchasing this unit if your in the sub 100 range for a printer.
