Summary: Great value, high quality printer
Comment: I've been using this printer since it came out, both with Windows XP and OS X. I've never had any problems with it. The print quality is consistantly good, and photos are produced quickly. It's ridiculously inexpensive, the ink lasts a long time, etc. What's not to like?

Summary: Banding and/or Roller marks on Photo Quality Pictures
Comment: I've owned the s450 for years and still use the printer today. I like it so much, I recommended the i560 to a friend and was very upset to discover that photo quality pictures printed with the i560 (printed on the free 4x6 paper that came with the printer) continuously print with visible roller marks on them. Not sure why this is happening... I've never had this problem with my s450. Otherwise, after a number of print head alignments, the photos looked great --- they just have these GLOSSY HORIZONTAL BANDING LINES ALL OVER THE PAPER.

Summary: One of the best products ever!
Comment: I got this printer about a year ago, and still loooove it. I was moved to write because I just got a notice telling me I ran out of magenta ink. I love that 1) it has separate tanks, so you don't have to replace a whole cartridge because one ran out, and 2) it warns you when it's getting low so you can have the color that's about to run out in reserve.
It also does a great job of printing photos--the paper quality does make a difference if you want it to look just like the print shop (get the canon kind that comes with the printer), but even the on-sale stuff from staples is fun to use when you want to take a picture and print immediately.
This is one of the rare products that has been a delight from the moment I took it out of the box. I bought one for my dad as well. 5 stars!

Summary: Best Bang For The Buck!
Comment: I've tried Lexmark, HP and others over the years but last couple I have bought have been Canon. This is probably the best printer yet. It's a great quality print every time. I highly recommend this printer over others.

Summary: Made Lemonade Out of My SYSTEM OS
Comment: First i have to QUOTE Philip:
" A lemon i560 or shall I say a piece of junk!, February 6, 2004
Reviewer: Philip Ong (Brooklyn, NY United States) - On arrival I excitedly followed all the instructions, putting in the print head and color ink tanks. Installed the softwares and I proceed to make my 1st print, guess what the print head moved back and forth but only white paper spitted out. Nothing was printed. Called the Canon support who was very helpful. Walked me through and did a dozen deep cleaning and other dianostics. Still it doesn't print. What a piece of junk this is. Don't buy this printer is my advice."
THAT said, I can only add that mine eventually printed in blue only, although even that was sketchy.
BUT, WORST OF ALL!!! I REMOVED the software (yes, with MS control panel) and now I no longer have an operable OS - Windows won't complete boot-up as ONE OF IT'S .DLL EXTENSIONS WAS REMOVED, TOO !!!
I 'm just sick... I will have to either RE-INSTALL Windows and LOSE all of my data, or pray and hope that a techie I know can try to insert the file thru DOS, if it's possible! ALL ADVICE IS WELCOME !!!
P.S. My next Canon, an i550 "bargain", printed the same way and paper thickness adjuster broke within 2 days...Thank heavens for product purchase protection plans. I'm afraid 2 remove the software on this NEW computer it's on...
