Summary: Great price, not super user friendly
Comment: I'm not a tech genius, but I'm definetely capable of figuring out tech items. This is super easy to hook up, however, tweaking the settings to make your pictures look great (I/e not balanced and dark) is tricky at best.

I spent two hours fussing with it and still couldn't get as good of results as I wanted.

I've bought refill paper/ink and every time the ink runs out before the paper does. This ends up being about the same cost per print as taking film to Costco or Wal-mart, the convenience of having it available and in home is great... it's just not super user friendly.

Summary: Dont waste your money on one of these
Comment: I purchased the Canon to replace a similar 4x6 printer that recently died on me. I will not mention the manufacurer of the other printer because I dont work for a printer company like many of the authors of the reviews on this site. I stupidly believed that the Canon would produce just as high of quality photos as the other manufacturer. I purchased it based on the great photo results I had got out of a Canon 900 series. I was not only let down, but horrified to discover the prints were not even close to the colors represented in the actual picture. If I had not previously used color printers I would have assumed it had to do with the monitor display vs the actual colors. This is not the case. The printer dimmed the colors leaving any dark areas without contrast and even after I edited photos to lighten them the skin tones looked green no matter what I did. I had to return it and purchase a printer from another manufacturer. In addition the printer is advertised as being highly compact, which it is, until you want to print. Dont place anything 7" in front or behind the printeras the photo is shot back and forth while the ink is layers on it. You will need at least a foot of clear desk space. I hope I can steer people clear of this piece of junk.

Summary: Canon Selphy Photo Printer
Comment: It is a compact printer that will produce very good quality 4" X 6" prints in less than one minute. It is light weight and small enough to transport to a given location (Christmas party, family reunion or other location) and present the subjects with their own prints to go on the spot. They are better than Polaroid prints. The prints are not professional quality but are close to it.

Summary: Easy to use and great VFM
Comment: Can't recommend this product highly enough. Set up with my home PC was simple and straight forward. I use Google's Picassa and the quality of the prints is outstanding. Loading the ink was straight forward and the printer screen and menu easy to see and use.
