Comment: This is my third Canon printer and they keep getting better. The PIXMA i6600D is fast and quiet. The text quality is very good and the photo printing is the best of any brand printer I tested. This machine only confirms my loyalty Canon.

Comment: The print quality of the Pixma is fine--I have no complaints. But the reason I downrated this model is because the manufacturer has gone to extreme lengths to prevent the user from using any inks other than their own. My previous Canon, i960, allowed the use of generic inks. We all know WHY the companies do this. Frankly, it would be more honest to ask more for the machine & let us use whatever ink we prefer. But, hey, this is America, & it'll never happen.

Comment: I really like this printer, and I'm glad I picked it from the competition. If you use the included software, the photos print just like they look on your computer screen and are excellent quality in terms of color and resolution. (If you print from photoshop or some other program, you may have to spend time adjusting the colors of your files to get them to print correctly.) Also, the ink cartridges are ~$14 each and you need refills rather frequently. I've also had a hard time finding these refills-- it seems that these ink cartridges aren't as popular as those for other canon models and are often sold out or hidden at the very bottom of the shelf.

ive printed tons of berderless prints and have not had to clean it yet. all my prints have been clean.
separate ink color cartridges are great too. doesnt waste any ink. in fact ive spent more on ink and paper than i did on the printer. about 3 times more.
its a pretty solid machiene and very easy to use. you dont even need a computer. in fact its easier to use it without one.
