Summary: Would be an Excellent Printer but Lacks CD Tray
Comment: This is a very good printer and could be really excellent if it included the tray for printing directly on CD's and DVD's. I wholy recommend buying this model and then follow up with finding a third-party tray. Canon seems to omit the tray when this model is sold in some parts of the world. The good news is that there is a supplier. I've got the printer and the CD tray and get outstanding printable discs without using those darn adhesive labels.

Summary: Very Disappointed
Comment: I bought this printer about a year ago. It worked fabulous at first, great quality. But after about 2 months, the printhead clogged and I've had nothing but problems since. The blue ink continuously clogs. I end up spending hours trying to get it going just to print 1 photo. I contacted canon and they sent me a new printhead as it was still under warranty only to have the same thing happen. Worked great for a couple months and nothing but problems since. I will go back to my HP for all of my printing needs.

Comment: This is the 4th iP 5000 printer I have purchased for the business where I work. And after 2 years of steady high use(25-30 8x 10" high quality photos per day) photo printing these little printers are hard at work with no problems. They just keep on printing. Easy to install. Easy to change ink cartridges. I like it that each color is individual so you don't have to buy a whole all color cartridge if you run out of one color. After the first two we decided to buy two more for other areas of the office. Great value!

Comment: Easy to install and looks alot less like a printer than most printer. It is also nice that if you do not do printing everyday you can close it up for an even cleaner look.
This printer is faster than my old i850 and the pictures seem a little brighter than my older Canon. Still like the looks from the Canon inks, I also have an HP 7210 that I use for work. The prints are much nicer from the Canon.
