Summary: Does the job...
Comment: The cap is a nice accessory to my Canon equipment. However, for the price of the lens cap, I could have found something cheaper to do the job. I also wish it had an attached string so it couldn't get lost if it came off.

So....if you're like me and want all your camera equipment to advertise Canon, this lens cap is for you. If you like pinching pennies, you can save about 6 bucks on this item. It's all about preference.

Summary: Worth the money.
Comment: a bit expensive for a plastic cap, but much better than the one that is OEM with the S3 IS. I'm glad I bought it. And if I lose it, I would buy it again.

Summary: It's a well made lens cap, What you would expect from Canon
Comment: It does the job. You may be able to find cheaper ones but take it from me, that's not always the best way to go. I bought a $3 cap previously and it was cheaply made. The threads were messed up on it and it didn't attach to the threads on my adapter well at all. It did not stay on to good which, unless I'm mistaken, is the entire purpose for a lens cap. This cap is NOT a replacement for the slip on cap that comes with the S2/S3 cameras. It is made for use with an adapter and UV/filter lens.

Summary: Works as it should
Comment: Works as a lens cap should--fits the lens well (lens in my case is the Canon EF 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 USM zoom lens), and is well-constructed and of good quality. The tabs on the periphery of the lens cap are big enough to be easy to squeeze. In general, this lens cap should fit any lens which takes 58mm sized filters.

This lens cap is of much better quality than the generic lens caps (which also usually have too-small tabs) sold by most retailers. I am taking off one point for the exorbitant (for a lens cap) price though.

If you're in the market for a lens cap, check out Tamron's offerings--they are well-made and also have tabs around the center of the lens cap (for example, check out this 77mm Tamron Lens Cap). These tabs come in handy when trying to take off or put on the lens cap with the lens hood in place.
