Summary: Fast and easy set up
Comment: Got this about 2 months ago. Boy is it fast! It's as fast as if I were hooked up with the ethernet cable. I have both a MacBook and Dell laptop. It hooked up more quickly with the PC than the Macbook. MY Dell laptop took a dump and I got a new one, turned it on and it found the network with no problem at all. I'm running XP SP2 on both Dells and not a single glitch. This is leaps and bounds better than the linksys router I had to set up for the Dell. Don't hesitate to get this. You won't be sorry.

Summary: Very good range, setup a snap.
Comment: This thing has excellent range, I was getting good reception 200ft away through a foot thick concrete wall. (On my iPod!) Setup was easy with no hitches, wireless printing was equally simple. My only irritation is that you have to have the management utility installed on the computer you want to administer from. The unit was surprisingly heavy and feels very sturdy. Overall I am very pleased with it.

Summary: Another fine Apple product
Comment: Nothing surprising here - the AirPort Extreme was easy to set up, sends a strong signal throughout my apartment, and works great on both my MacBook Pro and my girlfriend's Acer laptop PC.

Summary: First you see the net and then you don't and then you do....
Comment: I've read many reviews of many items on the web, and they're all subjective -- the reviewer's experience. Try this: my airport extreme worked fine for about 4 months and then it started bugging out all the time requiring annoying reconfigurations. The many suggestions on the web have not worked, and I've got to get back to my day job. Your move.

Summary: Great Router
Comment: Great product, USB printers and external hard drives work well across my entire network.

For all windows users... format your exteral USB drive to a mac file system (HFS+) using Transmac program. The Airport extreme does not allow transfer of files larger than 450MB under fat32 in a vista/xp enviroment. Under HFS+ filesystem the external drive will transfer data at 12MB/s, under FAT32 Windows users will see only 4-5 MB/s
