Comment: After both of my hearing aids were damaged beyond repair, I could not afford new ones. I needed something so that I could continue to work. I bought these to use in the interim of getting new digital aids. After carefully reading others' reviews, I was ready for anything.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well they worked! They are slightly uncomfortable (especially compared to my personally-molded hearing aids) but more than worth the price! They do amplify ALL sound and cannot "cancel out" ambient noise like digital hearing aids can. But they work beautifully for me!
Word to the wise: these are AMPLIFIERS, not hearing aids. My husband wanted to try it on and was quite surprised at the difference in sound through the amplifier. It sounds the same as my first experience with an aid; it seems as if everything you're hearing is coming through a microphone.
