Summary: Extremely Slow
Comment: I agree with another reviewer. Acrobat 8.0 is extremely slow when scanning documents - even one page. I have just discovered this after paying retail price for the software and installing it on two brand new and fast computers. It is so painfully slow that I am going to have to repurchase Acrobat 7.0, which worked perfectly for me. Unfortunately, Adobe does not offer a trial version of 8.0 Standard, just 8.0 Professional. If you are still apt to purchase 8.0 Standard anyway, I recommend downloading the 30-day trial version of Acrobat 8.0 Professional - that should convince you not to buy this product.

Summary: Nice product
Comment: Had no problems Activating this software, works well. I had acorbat 6.0 Pro. & this standard version works just as well for me. Sure beats MS word. I'm happy, but I bought it for less $100.00 from another online store.Prices vary allot.

Summary: Errors & Compatability Issues
Comment: The new version of Acrobat Standard 8.0 has several issues. Currently working as an IT Manager for our construction management company and all of our users who have installed this version are having issues with fatal errors and with the program simply terminating in the middle of tasks involving Microsoft Projects. I would not recommend this product if you are creating pdf's from Microsoft Projects.

Summary: Adobe Support SUCKS!
Comment: The product is pretty good IF you can get it to run on your vista machine. Just hope you dont have to talk with support, they will try to give you trial and error resolutions and then get off the phone not even knowing if it works. I have now called back 4 times and have waited 30 minutes each with no resolution.
Acrobat + vista= sucks!

Summary: Microsoft Vista and Adobe Acrobat 8.0, Compatibility Issues++
Comment: Buyer beware! As Adobe and Microsoft wage WAR with each other regarding the Portable Document Format, the customer is at risk! In some cases, depending on the build, acrobat 8 will not even install properly on a Vista Machine. Both Adobe and Microsoft are aware of the problem, cannot fix it, and blame each other.
Perhaps the Vista service pack will fix this issue, otherwise, install it on an XP machine!
