Summary: This answering system ROCKS!
Comment: I had purchased this system many years ago, and then, after several years of heavy usage and trusty service, it putzed out on us. I searched high and low for something comparable and couldn't find anything. I decided to look on Amazon.com - and really lucked out!
This is why I love this answering system:
1) Audio Caller ID: the system verbally announces the number of incoming calls!
2)Separate mailboxes: we are a busy family, and so we each have our own mailboxes.
3) It's inexpensive (but NOT cheap!)
4) It's SUPER easy to use
Now that I think about it....I should have bought two....

Summary: Recording Clarity
Comment: Your other ratings did reflect poor recording quality for the announcment. The directions state to record the announcment remotely, however most people don't and when you record directly into the unit it comes out very garbled. If you do record from another phone like the directions tell you to, the announcment is clear and works perfectly. The directions are not very clear, but once you do it, it works great.

Comment: Does what it is supposed to do, but the control interface and 'button clicking' processes to get to the programming menus are a pain....

Summary: Speaker didn't work - had to return it
Comment: I am another person who couldn't even set up the unit since the speaker didn't work when I opened the box. It might be an okay unit, but since I received a defective one, I will never know. I saw others had received defective units, but thought it wouldn't happen to me. I took a chance and lost. Seems like AT & T has a quality assurance problem if they are shipping lots of units with problems. Steer clear...
