Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS FAX MACHINE!!!!
Comment: Plastic tab broke off after 6-months of very light use. Total piece of crap product. Read the rest of the consumer reviews below, and you will see that virtually everyone who has posted here has had the same exact problem. Once the tab breaks -- and TRUST ME, it WILL break -- the machine is rendered useless.

Summary: Don't buy this machine
Comment: The most frustrating thing about this machine is that it's very difficult to install new toner--which should be a simple thing. I, too, have had a small piece break off inside that causes the cover to stay open so I can not send or receive faxes.
Also, the paper feeder is not reliable if faxing more than one or two sheets. They get jammed. Save money down the line and buy a Hewlett-Packard.

Summary: CANNOT RECOVER THE FAXES!
Comment: I bought the Panasonic KX-FP151 6 months ago, and it beeps all the time, until I realized that the "cover open" signal was on and how kind of it to "store my fax in memory" only to learn that I would never see my important fax. Apparently a plastic tab inside the cover had snapped off... According to the technician at 1-800-HELP-FAX (very helpful indeed!) my unit was "out of warranty" only six month warranty, but on the ... web site page when I purchased it, it says 1 year warranty. The fax worked well until the plastic tab broke. Poor workmanship. I only opened the cover two times to change the ink ribbon. I will not purchase Panasonic products again. The machine was a good bargain, but what is the point if I have to purchase one every 6 months. Is this considered a "disposable" fax machine? I know they make disposable cameras.
What a good idea! Be sensible and reconsider.

Summary: Fragile cover
Comment: After 4 months of using this fax machine at a rate of 2 faxes per month, the plastic tabs that hold the cover down broke off. If you want to have a machine where you need a LOT of duct tape to hold it together, then this is the one for you...Otherwise, I would spend the extra and get a machine that can really "hold its own"
